  Came in with two friends on a weekday evening and it was not busy. We waited 15 minutes before being seated at a dirty table, and another 15 minutes for our waitress to take our orders. Our waffles came before the waters we ordered and our waitress did not check up on us once. We then waited another 10-15 minutes until our bills were brought to us. Again, the restaurant was not busy. The waffles were excellent and fruit was fresh. However the service we experienced was terrible. Don't go if you're expecting proper service - the waffles are the only reason why I make the time to dine in at Demetre's once in a while.

  Unacceptable and overpriced. You'd expect a $5 hot chocolate to be a large mug. Instead, you wait for 15 minutes only to receive a small glass that is only half full with hot chocolate, and topped with flavourless whipped cream that fills up the rest of the glass. It don't recommend this place. There are plenty other dessert places not far away, all along Yonge Street, that treat customers with respect and serve what's payed for. How was the food? The waffles were fine, nothing extraordinary.

  The food is oh so amazing. However, the service was very slow. But once we ordered, the food came quickly. Must Try!
